We have spent years supporting our children, but were met with obstacles and roadblocks all along the way. Now, we want to challenge the status quo of care that’s available, and provide our young men with a supportive environment that meets them where they are, and treats them holistically as individuals, not by their diagnosis.
But, everyone blames the person who behaves differently for the problems they cause in their lives and those around them.
One of the most underserved behavioral and mental health challenges to date, are those variations of brain-based disorders, invisible, hidden disabilities which impact how individuals process information, perceive the world, and interact with others.
Having grown up misdiagnosed and labeled, when expected to live independently and navigate life on their own, they often struggle. Unfortunately, many become hospitalized, get lost in the criminal justice system, turn to substance misuse, or face homelessness.
We believe the families who have struggled, and the children who have now transitioned into adulthood, deserve to be understood and supported.
We also want to be clear that by using the word healing, we don’t mean fixed, we mean their challenges can be managed to improve outcomes.
Our job is to help the individual:
Our mission is to support those living with invisible disabilities in discovering their life’s purpose. We are committed to meeting them where they are and treating them holistically as individuals, not by their diagnosis.
